One day, Chen's son proposed mixing flour and seasonings, wrapping them with minced pork to create small and convenient dumplings known as "hun tun," perfect for eating during outdoor labor. The Chen family's innovative creation not only pleased their own household but also garnered praise from the surrounding villagers. Over time, the Chen family's dumplings became increasingly popular in Wuxi, known for their delicious flavor and portability. Gradually, other residents of Wuxi began to imitate the production of these dumplings, leading to the development of a unique Wuxi-style hun tun. Today, Wuxi hun tun has become one of the local specialties, attracting many tourists to come and taste it. This story reflects the wisdom and creativity of the Chinese people in times of poverty, as well as their love for and inheritance of culinary culture.
